Calibration to determine base prover volume (BPV) can be performed at any customer's site throughout the USA or in our Houston, Texas area lab. On-site calibrations are accomplished using a portable waterdraw lab. Calibration procedures are in strict adherence to either the gravimetric or volumetric (waterdraw) methods of API MPMS Chapter 4.9, Methods of Calibration for Displacement and Volumetric Tank Provers. BVP is calculated in accordance with API MPMS Chapter 12, Calculation of Petroleum Quantities and is traceable to the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST).
