EGM Data Management
includes the services necessary to import, review, recalculate, and provide data storage for orifice, positive displacement, turbine, ultrasonic and coriolis meters. Utilizing the most advanced software available, Flow-Cal Enterprise, we also offer near-time pipeline balancing, secure Internet access to volume data, API Chapter 21 audit trails, and many other features.

Orifice Chart Measurement includes censoring, chart integration, data validation, calculation, and data storage for orifice and positive displacement meters. Custom exports are available to furnish your measurement department with "Integration Only" results when that is all you need. Contract "Integration Only" is a cost-effective option for the full-time, part-time, emergency relief, or vacation relief requirements of many pipeline measurement departments.

Gas Accounting includes a complete report of gross production, fuel consumption, liquid extraction, shrinkage, the allocation of each well's natural gas production adjusted to pipeline sales, and the system balance results in both numerical and graphical form. Custom accounting for gas processing, treatment plants, and pipelines are also available.

Orifice Measurement Auditing is the process of verifying the calculations associated with determining your natural gas deliveries or purchases from either chart recorded or electronic measurement sources. Through this process we recover an average of 500,000 Mcf of gas for our customers each year, yielding an average return of approximately 400% on their auditing costs.

Orifice Meter Inspection & Calibration services include repair; measurement equipment installation, gas and liquid sampling; the physical and chemical tests associated with gas measurement and quality…such as specific gravity, moisture content, carbon dioxide, and hydrogen sulfide concentrations; and gas surveys to determine the volumes and composition of vented separator gas and tank vapors. Coastal Flow's measurement technicians are equipped to test most electronic and mechanical orifice meters and maintain a substantial inventory of materials and supplies to meet our customer's needs onsite.

Through witness testing, we monitor all physical, chemical, and calibration tests performed by the purchaser that could affect your measurement price, or the determination of gas quality. Gas contracts historically provide for the witnessing of such procedures, and this should always be done.

Engineering & Consulting services related to gas and liquid measurement includes the expert design of new measurement systems and troubleshooting problems in existing systems.

Sales Gas Contracts should provide a fundamental agreement between buyers and sellers of natural gas to employ mutual standards and procedures for measurement, sampling, auditing, and the settlement of disputes. With Coastal Flow's EGM Contract Advisor software available as a free download, you will be able to develop the most equitable measurement terms available anywhere.

Pulsation Testing is necessary to determine the existence and magnitude of pulsation at orifice metering stations because of the serious effect it may have upon measurement. Coastal Flow utilizes the most advanced electronic instrumentation, data acquisition devices, and computer programs available to analyze this problem. In addition, our engineering staff designs symmetrical acoustical cut-off filters for the elimination of pulsation-induced error.
